Operation
The material enters the unit inlet and immediately enters the primary cyclonic separation section. Here, the heavier particles of the dust are removed and deposited either in the material storage or material discharge section.
The remainder of the dust and the air rises up into the secondary filtration section. Here the remainder of the dust is trapped in the filter media. When the filter is shaken after each operational cycle, the dust is deposited in the material storage or discharge section.
The air, after passing through the secondary filtration section, passes through the connector housing which includes the back draft and fire dampers, through the industrial exhaust fan, and either discharges to the atmosphere or is returned to the manufacturing area to conserve energy costs.
There is only one storage section in this unit. All the material is removed through a newly designed large discharge gate supplied as standard equipment for most applications. A double sized gate is supplied as standard equipment for most applications when bridging of stored materials could be a problem. The standard gate(s) is hand operated (powered optional) by chain through heavy duty gear reduction units for ease of opening and closing. This design allows for complete control of stored material flow into truck or storage container. It is practically trouble free and superior over most other designs.
Another main advantage with this type of system is that no material passes through the exhauster, only air.
